Goal

There are 17 of us across two offices in Houston and Mexico. We were looking into team building ideas, and thought why not do some kind of fitness challenge? Why not do something together? Also, I just personally like working out. I think it’s both: You’re doing fitness, but it also just helps create conversations and build team pride—just everyone supporting each other!

The Challenge

We’ve run challenges in the past on Count.It [Classic], and this was the first that we did on the new app. Everyone loves it.

It’s great because, when we’re doing a challenge and we get together for our company meetings, everyone’s initial conversation is about the challenge. Normally, if you’re in accounting you don’t talk to sales, but, guess what, if we’re having a challenge, they’re talking to each other. I’ve noticed it starts conversations amongst the group that normally wouldn’t talk to each other

The Legend

I’ll tell you what happens, and it’s brought up constantly. One year we did a challenge on Count.It that was Men vs. Women. At the time, we had the same number of males and females. The challenge ended at midnight on a Friday, and we had run people running right through midnight. Everyone was doing it.

To this day, a year and half later, everyone brings that up.

Who won? The females won!
